FastClose is pleased to announce a partnership with FreeWave Technologies, a leading provider of wireless communication solutions for industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications, to offer real-time operational reporting for their Epicor Kinetic Cloud ERP.
We had purchased the Epicor Cloud ERP system and attempted to utilize the recommended spreadsheet solution, but found it unworkable. Consequently, we began exploring alternatives. After discovering positive reviews for FastClose on www.EpiUsers.help, we reached out to them. They were extremely helpful and promptly spun up an Azure site for us with the FastClose server component preconfigured. All we had to do was enter our Epicor credentials in the connection options, download the PC clients, and we were up and running. What surprised us was the breadth of modules they supported. While we initially sought financial reporting, they covered most of Epicor's modules, including manufacturing. The user interface is incredibly intuitive, and our finance team is now constructing all the essential operational reports. FastClose has provided templates for all modules, eliminating the need to create Business Activity Queries (BAQs) as all the necessary tables and joins have been preconfigured, allowing us to simply select the desired data.
We have replaced several spreadsheet solutions for on-premise customer installations. However, transitioning to the cloud entails significant differences which can cause issue with legacy spreadsheet reporting solutions. While on-premise solutions may access databases directly, cloud-based solutions rely on Epicor's published APIs. For this reason, some common spreadsheet reporting products require a replicated database to work, introducing additional complexity. Further, they don't have access to some areas of Epicor away from the financials at all. However FastClose surmounts this problem by accessing the Epicor database directly, in a read-only, real-time manner with a deep integration through their APIs, ensuring data integrity at all times.
